HOP 1 – HBC 586
HBC 586 is an experimental hop from the Hop Breeding Company – a joint venture between John I Haas and Yakima Chief Ranches.
The aroma has been described as “a large medley of fruit flavors…Mango, guava, lychee, citrus.”
Has a high Alpha Acid content ranging from 12 to 13%
Aroma Profile: Sweet Fruit, Citrus, Herbal
Flavor Profile: Mango, Orange, Pepper
HOP 2 – HBC 630
HBC 630 was bred in 2008 as cross between two other experimental hops – HBC 364 and Male Parent 12-10-21.
Featured an aroma of Sweet fruits, raspberry, cherry and candy-like esters of peach and banana
Has a high Alpha Acid content ranging from 13 t o14%.
Aroma Profile: Red Berries, Stone Fruit, Estery
Flavor Profile: Sweet Fruits, Berry and Currant, Creme Caramel
HOP 3 – HBC 638
HBC 638 is an experimental hop from the Hop Breeding Company – a joint venture between John I Haas and Yakima Chief Ranches.
Has been compared to Centennial for it’s familiar aromas and bright citrus and fresh flower character.
Brewers has noted Mango, pineapple, banana, cherry, strawberry, and cantaloupe as just some the flavors and aromas coming from this hop
Has a high Alpha Acid content ranging from 12 to 16%
Aroma Profile: Tropical fruit, melon, red berries, orange
Flavor Profile: Sweet fruits, Berry & Currant, Citrus
